Robert Baker has been the Principal at Novi Middle School since 2018. This year, he is the primary point of contact for the 8th grade. He was previously an assistant principal at Novi High School from 2011-2018. From 2005 - 2011 Mr. Baker taught Spanish, Civics, Economics, International Relations and IB Theory of Knowledge. Mr. Baker holds a BA from the University of Michigan Ann Arbor in Spanish and Organizational Studies, an MA in International Studies from the George Washington University, an MA in Education from the MAC program at the University of Michigan, and and Ed. Katy Dinkelmann has been teaching and sharing her passion for learning with students since the age of 15. Katy began teaching science at Cesar Chavez Academy after graduating from Wayne State University with her Bachelor of Science in Teaching. Katy began teaching at Novi High School in 2005 and taught many courses including four levels of Dance, Choreography and IB Theory of Knowledge. She earned a Master of Public Administration from the University of Michigan. She served as the Assistant Principal at Novi High School from 2013-2021.
Katy is passionate about student voice and works to ensure that all learners are supported. She is a member of the Social Justice Cohort in NCSD and is a certified Restorative Practices Trainer through IIRP.
