Dance Club was created to introduce dance to middle school students. We welcome anyone who wants to dance and welcome any level of dancer. Dance styles learned include Hip Hop, Jazz and Contemporary/Lyrical. Auditions will be held in the Fall.

Chamber Club will meet in room 608 (Orchestra room) beginning in October. The club consists of both 7th and 8th grade orchestra students who are interested in learning new music and orchestra leadership outside of class. These students get the opportunity to perform at events such as Light Up the Night Festival, the Middle School Variety Show and the Orchestra Final Concert! Join the Coding Club to learn basic and advanced coding. This years focus will be Python, Java, Quantum, Logic Gates and Qiskit. The club will meet online on scheduled Fridays from 4:30-6:00pm. Do you like playing games of any kind? Are you looking for something to do after school? Come to Game Club! You don’t have to come to every meeting, only when you can! We will meet in room 110. You can bring any game (school appropriate) you want to play. (I have some at school). Can be electronic! (ex: PS4 and you can play Mario Kart together) Please remember your ride MUST here at 4:15 to pick you up. The first meeting will be held on September 19th.
The Novi Middle School Golf Club has changed seasons! NMS Golf Club will now take place in October. There is a cap of 16 participants and spots are given on a first come first serve basis. Please read the NMS Fall 2022 Golf Club link for more information. The transportation form and a check made out to Lock Golf Academy must be given to Mrs. Wesner no later than Thursday, September 29, but the sooner the better. Jazz Band meets once or twice a week in room 606 (Band Room) . The club consists of both 7th and 8th grade band students who would like to work on a new style of music outside of class. Students will work on different jazz styles like swing, rock, and funk while also learning about improvisation. These students get the opportunity to perform at events such as the Staff vs. Students Games, the Middle School Variety Show, and the Spring Band Concert! For more information, contact Mr. Ronning.
Math Competition Club is both an individual event as well as a team event. Students will meet with their grade level to practice and compete in areas including speed, accuracy, problem solvng, and mathmatical reasoning. Practices will be held on Thursdays. This year we will be focusing on competing at the school as well as national level. There will be an optional informational meeting for students about what Math Competition Club is on Thursday, September 22. Students should bring a pencil, eraser, and a calculator with no QWERTY keyboard. Application forms with club details will then be available starting Friday, September 23. Students may pick up the application from Ms. Kang (Rm 422) either before school, during A20, or after school. Students must be the one to pick up and turn in applications. Only the first 60 applicants that have also turned in the club fee will be accepted, while the top 30 scorers on the pretest will be invited to join the Math Competition Club.

Science Olympiad is a team of students chosen to participate in Science Olympiad Tournaments throughout the schoolyear. Students have the opportunity to explore a variety of topics including: Biology, Anatomy, Earth Science, Engineering, Physics, Coding, and many more. Want to learn how to ski or snowboard? Join us on the slopes of Mt. Brighton Ski Resort! Everyone is welcome. Attendance is not mandatory and you may pay as you go. Regardless of experience, you must attend a teach session. Information packets are available in the Main Office. Fees are due on Monday before at noon.
